Wonders Never Cease

Come November 2009, I will be at the 33rd Annual Philadephia Museum Art Craft Show, featured in the emerging artists group!   I am so excited I've been forgetting to breathe.  My vessels and wall pieces will be featured, with perhaps a few wearables on the side.  I'll be sending out postcards to the mailing list for this one.

Bronze Shawl

I haven't been making too many shawls lately, my creativity seems to go in cycles.  Having recently finished a vessel cycle it's time to move back to wearables, in preparation for Crafts on Columbus, May 2-3.

Exciting News

My work will be now carried at a wonderful location in Warwick NY.  It's a store called the Eclectic Eye.  They carry antiques, art, persian rugs and some new merchandise also.  They are asking for upwards of 10 vessels.  Time to get back to work!  Here is one a series called Raku Wannabee.

Felt Vessels Rock

Here's a piece that I made recently.  It will be on display at the New City Library, Rockland Cty NY.  I call it "Too Many Martinis".  It came together in stages, as I searched through my supplies the color combinations gave me inspiration.

Opening Day

Felt.....brings me joy.  The laying out, massaging the fibers and rolling.  Can't forget the rhythmic act of back and forth.  Then comes the joy of throwing the piece.  Smash, against the inside of my over-sized sink, over and over again, shrinking those fibers as they grab each other in a panic.  Ok, so fibers don't really panic but it's an image in my head.....

So here's a photo of yesterday's work, that thanks to my dh has already been captured on film.
